Just as I began to compile a list of things I’d like to include in my second book… my computer crashed. MacBooks are sturdy beasts, but nothing can withstand multiple drops and getting tossed across the room by a toddler in the middle of a sensory meltdown.
I’ve accepted that my original MacBooks simply won’t last anymore and it’s time for a much needed upgrade. I was over due, but now comes the arduous task of retrieving my files and starting from scratch AGAIN less than two years after my last computer fiasco. Thank God for Google Drive and cloud storage that’s all I have to say about that!
Anyway… while I’m in book limbo I’ve been forced to return to regular blogging to keep the literary juices flowing. Or at least more regular blogging than I’ve been making time for in recent months.
I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been working on a fictional book this go around, or it’s just the time of year itself triggering me, but I’ve been having the weirdest dreams of late. Super detailed, and super strange. They’ve kind of thrown me off kilter a bit. I’m not depressed, or anxious proper, just kind of in an all around funk.
Each night seems to become a continuation of the last and while a common theme runs through most of my subconscious, it isn’t a continuing story. Which is unfortunate lol.
That would be the pique of productivity now wouldn’t it? Creating different worlds and plots in my sleep! 🤣
