Posting two days in a row, whaaaaaaaaa?! Yes! It’s true! Things are starting to settle down and return to normal-ish in The House of Hale.
I’ve spent the majority of my free time over the past two weeks getting back to the gym (yes, it was early. Yes, my doctor said it was okay, but he wasn’t entirely thrilled with the idea lol) and cleaning up the house from the holidays and baby extravaganza. All of the trash went out, most of the dishes are clean, and the living room no longer looks like a department store after Black Friday. My only two remaining projects for house work are folding the laundry and cleaning the bathrooms.
Let me tell you, getting the house put back together has really helped my mood tremendously. I’m almost feeling back to myself aside from minor sleep deprivation, and my completely destroyed core. Oh it was so depressing getting back to the gym and not being able to do hardly anything. Not because I didn’t want to, or feel like it. Without functionality of my core I physically CAN’T do a lot for a few more months. But I was there, I was doing something, and getting back into my routine has been just as important for keeping myself centered as anything else.
It feels good to get back to our new normal no matter how small the steps may be to get there.
