Well, That’s Better

I FINALLY made it back to the gym this morning after about two weeks away battling the ever annoying Respiratory Infection of Doom. I feel about a thousand times better after burning off some of my excess pregnancy hormones plus it felt good to stretch those neglected muscles and get out of the house for a while. I was starting to get a little stir crazy stuck in the house all the time. lol. Obviously I’m scaling my workouts again, but doing anything is way better than doing nothing at all. I feel like I could run a mile with all of this new found energy! I’m still on the raspy cough-y side but at least I can breathe with out doubling over in a gagging heap.

Hubs and I had a wonderful weekend together. We actually managed to work out all of our OMG TWINS problems in one afternoon out shopping. We still don’t plan on buying anything until next month just to be on the safe side, but we have all of our lists of to-do’s ready, all of our twin gear on our registries, and really the only thing left is to make sure I stay as active and healthy as possible for as long as possible until the new Littles arrive. Which is on one hand a huge relief, and on the other a bit annoying. Having all of my problems solved is annoying, you ask? Well yes, but mostly because if I don’t have something to focus on I get mega impatient about everything. Most people would love to sit around and wait patiently twiddling their thumbs during pregnancy, but I like a challenge. lol.

Hubs also made me breakfast in bed for Mother’s Day and my Little helped him deliver it. She has really blossomed into the most hilarious little person I’ve ever seen in recent weeks and months. Her vocabulary has more than tripled and now that she can really communicate this kid says some of the most off the wall, outrageous things. The other day she had a juice box which she was really enjoying. As she got to the very end of the juice she yanked out the straw, tipped her head back, squished the box until the very last drop was wrung from it, then threw it down on the ground and went: “DONE!” before belching and then prancing down the hallway to play with her toys. I tried not to laugh, but I mean I really couldn’t help it. lol. I don’t know where she saw that, or if she just came up with it herself but yeah. lol.

Then, on Mother’s Day, she woke up from a dead sleep proclaiming: “Yeeeeeeeeeehawwwwwww!!” That was the first thing she said, and then she was off. Jumped out of bed and didn’t stop moving until about 1am this morning. lol. I don’t know what she could have been dreaming about but it was something, that’s for sure. Not going to lie, I’m going to miss the one on one time with my current Little. She’s definitely a handful at times, but I just love watching her learn and explore life.

I love the fact that she picks out her outfits during the day and comes up with some of the most outlandish combinations of colors and seasons, but she chose them herself and she put them on by herself which means she is automatically beaming with pride everywhere we go. I love how she proclaims that she is going to do things by herself, and tries so hard before giving in and asking for help. I love that she knows it’s okay to ask for help if she can’t do things by herself, but she continues to try new things with out fear. I just love all of it. lol. What can I say?
