Good Monday everyone! I can’t believe it’s Monday already. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend of date nights with Hubs turned into one exhausting hassle. Saturday was refreshing. Hubs and I went out to eat, and generally just spend time together which we rarely get to do. It was a semi late evening as we didn’t return to the house until 11pm, but it wasn’t like we were out until the wee hours of the morning or anything.
When we returned Little was already sound asleep so we didn’t bother to wake her or anything and instead just made our own way to bed. About three hours later Little woke up and started fussing for something. She couldn’t find her toy Giraffe, so I went into her room to help her find Giraffe. A few moments of looking for Giraffe turned into me laying next to her bed desperately trying to get her back to sleep until 6am. FINALLY she goes back to sleep around 6:30, but then a mere hour later she wakes up ready to start her day! So up we were again at 8am. We had a lot of errands to run and things to do this morning so we didn’t get back to the house for lunch until nearly 1pm, she took a little nap soon after lunch but I had so many things to do I didn’t get a chance to do anything aside from sit down for a few moments here and there. I think I found my way to bed around 10pm. COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED. So completely exhausted in fact, that I could barely form coherent sentences. lol. It was pretty bad.
I enjoy going out with Hubs, but it takes so much effort to find some one to babysit and we’re both so tired from work and school that really it seems like a waste of time. lol. Gone are the days where we could just up and go out all day without a care in the world, and sleep the next day away to recover. Yes, so this is married life, huh? It’s no wonder relationships are strained and falling apart more often than they are flourishing and growing together these days. The exhaustion is totally worth it, don’t get me wrong, but it is ever so present plus now I’m majorly behind on all of my household chores for the week. The weekends are usually my catch up days. lol. Not so much with the Anti-Weekend here. OOPS… and yes, that probably means I shouldn’t be blogging but should be catching up with my chores. Dammit! lol
