Bloggies!!!! I was going to wait until I actually booked the flight, but I can’t. I’m too excited. lol. In April Nora and I will be adventuring to Seattle to visit one of my besties and attend her baby shower!! *squee* I was randomly looking up air fair yesterday mostly because I was bored and flipping through the calendar on my phone. Once I saw how stupid affordable it was booking the flights this early I was like: YES. I HAVE TO GO. So that got the ball rolling. I’m still tweaking dates a bit so I’m not 100% sure of all the details, but it it most definitely happening. lol.
I am over the moon excited, but at the same time I’m terrified. I’m taking a toddler on a plane. ALL BY MYSELF. Well, I’m trying to coordinate flights with a few other people who want to head out for the shower, so HOPEFULLY I won’t be all by myself at least on the flight out there. The return flight though, will be just Nora and I with a layover in Denver. I don’t care what people say, Nora is going to be in one of those kid harnesses. I’m not having my kid lost or snatched in an airport. I would rather be mocked and ridiculed. I say that now, fully expecting to be hurriedly penning an angry passive aggressive post about the subject from a terminal in the near future lol.
What makes this even MORE exciting is that it falls about three weeks after our anniversary getaway in March! I’m really hoping the weather clears up at least a little because we’re heading up to Boyne Falls, Michigan. We knew when we booked the trip that there was a possibility of cold and snow especially since we were heading North, but we did NOT anticipate this crazy Polar Vortex eight feet of snow nonsense. Honestly if the weather is too bad, we’re heading the other direction. It’s going to cost us a nonrefundable booking fee, but at this point I want to see some sunshine. I could care less about losing a booking fee if it means I can get out of town and see something green for a few days.
On top of all of those exciting travels I’m also FINALLY going to be able to see Cirque Du Soleil in July! I’ve ALWAYS wanted to see one of their performances, and we finally had the extra cash before tickets sold out. Yes, I had to purchase them in February for a show in July, but I did it! lol. No traveling for that adventure aside from downtown Indy. This year is shaping up to be one of the best years I’ve had in a very long time. I’m feeling better about myself, I’m taking care of myself so I actually LOOK like I feel better, we navigated our first marital dispute and came out stronger than before, and my Little is doing exceptionally well. I can’t wait to take her to the zoo when the weather warms up. The Children’s Museum, the IMA, even just the playground at the local park. Having kids is the best thing ever.
It’s true, I wanted a whole gaggle of them back in the day, but I am so thankful for the one little girl that made her way into my life. I don’t need a whole gaggle of kids. My little Nora is enough. ❤ ❤ ❤
Anyway… enough excited rambling for today. Until later Bloggies! 🙂
