Westward, On!

So… my plans to start my CrossFit training have been put on hold due to the weather. Not because I don’t want to be out in it, but I’m not taking Nora out in subzero temps just so I can get a work out. I guess I’ll stick to my DVD’s at home. Like I said, they were effective and anything I do will be better than sitting around doing nothing. It’s funny because as I was realizing that I would have to rework my plans the only thing I could think of was the Oregon Trail and dying of dysentery because of my reference to wagons in my previous post. lol. UGH.

I don’t ever remember being this cold before I moved to Nowheresville. The first year I was here it was -7F for like one day, but that’s as cold as it’s ever been while I’ve lived here. Right now the forecast for Tuesday is a HIGH of -9F. I don’t even remember what the low is supposed to be, but it’s going to be FRIGID, not leaving the house cold. This winter is doing a number on me. Between the snow and the cold Nora and I have hardly left the house unless I had an appointment, or to get  groceries. I miss our weekly trips to the pool, the park, and our walks.

Of course when Summer does finally roll around I’ll be complaining about the heat and not being able to do things because of the heat. lol. It’s so easy to fall into the habit of complaining even when you don’t really have anything to complain about. It’s a personal habit I have, but I also think it’s become a habit of our society as well. Some make a joke of it, with the whole “First World Problems” while others complain in blissful ignorance. It’s a little bit human nature too.

Anyway… I’m off to go take care of my Little. She’s getting over a cold and is still pretty groggy. Until later Bloggies. 🙂
