The House of Hale 2013: Pt 2

4 Did anyone close to you die?

A few relatives passed on this year, none exceptionally close. Which is sad in of itself. It wasn’t that I chose to distance myself from them so much as life just took everyone different directions. I wish I had known them better, or had more vibrant memories of them. It kind of gave me a mourning and emptiness for a different reason.

5 What countries did you visit?

Oh to go globe trotting again. Unfortunately I was stuck in the good old US of A this year. Unless you count reminiscing about my adventures in Brazil, and Bulgaria which I did on multiple occasions this year. Part of that reckless youth I was coming to terms with. Lol.

6 What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?

Hmm…. Over all 2013 was a really good year. I don’t know that I truly lacked anything… I guess the only thing I would like is to spend more time with Kevin. He works so much to provide for the family that I rarely get to see him. So much in fact that when we DO have any amount of time together we really don’t know what to do with each other lol. Some how, even with our minimal amount of time together we managed to keep our relationship not only intact, but it actually grew a lot for the better over the course of the year. It wasn’t with out it’s snags, ups and downs, but in the end it all worked out. I feel a lot closer to my husband now that I have in a really long time. I’d like the chance to get to know him even better in 2014.

  1. A family that attended my home church growing up was from Vidin a small town on the Danube River. Their visa’s expired and they returned home to star a church plant. Our entire family went to visit them in 2005.

  2. It was!! I was a little too distracted with some teen angst going on back State Side to really participate in the spiritual things, which I regret now looking back on it, but over all the experience was positive.
