The Puzzles of Parenthood

I have just spent over an hour trying to get Nora’s Pack and Play folded and ready to go. OVER AN HOUR. Baby equipment is by far the most frustrating thing I have ever encountered. At first I thought it was because I was a new mom, exhausted from taking care of Nora, and that it would get easier as time went on. NO. I was WRONG. Never have I wanted to smash an inanimate object SO MUCH. Really it’s took a whole lot of effort not to toss it out the window.

I mean, kudos for the makers of baby things for making them extra safe, but when the “safety” features make it impossible to use? Uh NO. Besides that, I’ve spent an hour trying to get this thing to fold, but Nora can be in there for ten minutes and unlatch one side! I don’t know how she does it, unless it’s her unnaturally strong baby death grip lol.

UGH… but I have accomplished my mission, and now it’s time for Nora and I to head out of town for some girl time! One of my bestest best friends from Seattle is in town this week and we’re going to go PARTEH. Well not really, because we’re old and have kids in tow… but it’s still going to be awesome hang out time. Just what I need after fighting with that cursed Pack and Play!! lol.

Until later Bloggies. 🙂

  1. Little comes into it with no pre-conceived notions… just “OOOH, what’s this?” Lot’s easier to figure things out that way.
